Dream island, paradise and oasis

After a early breakfast leave Cancun to head to Holbox Island, a small island in the state of Quintana Roo, accessible by boat from the town of Chiquila. Treasure of the Caribbean, Holbox with its relaxed atmosphere is an invitation to take your time and to live each moment fully.

Into the Mayan world

After an early breakfast, depart by ferry and head inland to the Yucatan Peninsula to discover the fascinating archaeological site of Chichen Itza. This pre-Hispanic city was once the most venerated center of worship and pilgrimage of the Yucatán Peninsula. Its main draw is the step Pyramid of Kukulkán (El Castillo), though there are many significant Mayan and Toltec buildings, sculptures, and reliefs that will pull you in, like the Chacmools, Temple of the Warriors, Hall of the Thousand Columns, and the ball courts to name a few.

Pink lagoons and Mayan soul

After breakfast say goodbye to Chichén Itza to head to Rio Lagartos, a charming village on the Yucatán Peninsula. The Río Lagartos Biosphere Reserve is a wetlands area home of animals like flamingos, crocodiles, sea turtles, jaguars, and all kinds of seabirds. Explore this beautiful area by boat and you will have the opportunity to take a mud bath. Then proceed to the stunning cotton-candy pink lakes filled with salt that are called Las Coloradas. After a fish based lunch at Las Coloradas drive to Valladolid, once Yucatan's capital, where you will enjoy a typical dinner.

Colonial Mexican Cities and Cenotes

In the day visit the convivial colonial town of Valladolid and the Cenotes of Suytun. Purely from an architectural standpoint, Cenote is extremely spectacular. Cenote Suytun is definitely one of the most unique en magical cenotes because of the light beam and perfect platform in the middle of the cenote.

Caribbean beaches and millenary civilization

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Coba, a Mayan city that is more difficult to access and therefore less frequented. In this untamed and mysterious site, surrounded by rustling vegetation, only a few buildings have been taken out of the forest: the Conjunto de las Pinturas (Temple of Paintings), with its sculpted steles, traces of polychrome frescoes and the impressive pyramid of Nohoch Mul, the highest in Yucatán (42 m), whose summit dominates the jungle. Departure for Tulum, where Caribbean beaches meet the charm of a millenary civilization. Tulum means "wall" and is one of the few cities with walls ever built by the Mayas. The landscape here is unique. Tulum beach was included by the New York Times in the top ten most beautiful beaches in the American continent.

Paradise Beaches

Spend as you please those two days in Tulum. Stroll along the palm-fringed Paradise Beach, swim in the turquoise waters of the sea and dine on fresh seafood at any of the choice restaurants overlooking the Caribbean. Visit the Parque Nacional Tulum and check out the limestone sinkholes like the Cenote Calavera or snorkel in the Gran Cenote before spending the afternoon discovering the Mayan ruins just outside of town.

The Mayan Riviera

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure from Tulum and arrival in Playa del Carmen at lunchtime after several stops along the Mayan Riviera to admire the coast and discover hundreds of coves hidden among the palm trees. Visit Cozumel, Mexico's largest island, a diving paradise thanks to the coral reef so dear to Jacques Cousteau. There are very few things you need on this island: a pair of sunglasses, a hat or headgear, flip-flops on your feet and a swimming costume on, a pareo and high-protection sunscreen. Just enough to discover the wonders of the island or relax on the white sandy beach. Return to Playa del Carmen, a young and fashionable place. A perfect combination of history, relaxation, adventure, good food and shopping. After spending the afternoon on the beach and in the water, end the day in the centre of Playa del Carmen's nightlife.

Explore the island on a golf cart

After breakfast departure for isla Mujeres. Even though it's located very close to Cancun (just 8 miles off the coast), this small island has a relaxed atmosphere and a laid-back, casual pace that will allow you to fully relax before heading back to Cancun.
