After immigration and baggage claim, your exemplar representative will meet you at the Airport Arrival Hall of Bari to drive you in comfort and style to your chosen accommodation right in the heart of Monopoli. The outline of a castle and ancient walls announce the beautiful town.

Once you arrive at your Hotel meet you local guide for a brief and enjoy a fantastic introduction to a range of ''prodotti tipici'' from the region.

Timeless magic villages

After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the lobby to depart for Alberobello (around 30 minutes drive).

A vast countryside as far as the eye can see, peppered with trulli and drystone walls that surround centuries-old oak and olive trees. The panorama is filled with a timeless magic, in the heart of which lie fascinating villages like Alberobello and Locorotondo.
A lovely spread of pinnacles announces Alberobello's characteristic historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The old town centre, is entirely composed of trulli, traditional drystone huts whitened with quicklime and capped by conical bare-stone roofs. Crosses, pierced hearts, and zodiac signs decorate the roofs, maintaining the air of mystery that surrounds the trulli.
After lunch you guide will meet you at the restaurant to depart for Locorotondo (around 10 minutes drive). Its very name (“round place”) suggests the characteristic circular form of the town’s historic centre. Locorotondo is also set on the Wine Trail through the Itria Valley, which produces an excellent DOC white wine.

Pearl of the Adriatic

In the morning discover Monopoli independently. The town’s 99 contrade (districts) stretch out flatly, allowing you to admire them entirely with a single glance from the splendid belvedere of Loggia del Pilato. This natural terrace, on the road to Selva di Fasano, overlooks a countryside characterized by masserie (farmsteads), churches, rupestrian settlements, and villas. The symbol of the town is the Castello Carlo V (Castle of Charles V), which stands on the promontory of Punta Penna, and today hosts exhibitions and conferences.

After lunch, your guide will meet you at the lobby to depart for Polignano (around 15 minutes drive).

Crystal clear waters and cliffs pitted with caves carved by the sea give Polignano a Mare its uniqueness. A small town, known also as the “Pearl of the Adriatic”. The fascinating historical centre reveals traces of its Arab, Byzantine, Spanish and Norman past, including the remains of the four watchtowers that once guarded the ancient town.
Head through the Arco della Porta (the Door Arch), once the town's only entrance, and you'll find yourself in the magical centre, home to the 13th-century Mother Church dedicated to the Assumption. The high cliffs and jagged coastline between Palazzese Cave and Lama Monachile, make Polignano's shoreline one of Puglia's most beautiful coastal stretches, peppered with hidden inlets and charming sandy bays.
Enjoy a dinner in a magical and enchanted place, a restaurant with a terrace created inside a natural cave.

The hometown of ceramic

After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the lobby to depart for Grottaglie ( around 1 hour drive).
Grottaglie sits on a small hill, on the edge of the Murge terrace. Its origins lie in the surrounding green countryside and spectacular canyons, where traces of ancient life can still be found. And it's out of the earth that the town seems to have extracted the artistry for which it's worldwide famous. Surrounding the lovely historic centre, itself characterized by winding alleys and low-ceilinged houses, is the pottery district, a creative place, where sophisticated terracotta works are produced. Potter’s wheels turn ceaselessly in more than 50 craft shops, where generations of artisans have worked and continue to give shape to plates, crockery, fonts, knights and ladies, as well as the famous glazed ceramic “pomi,” veritable icons of the art of Grottaglie’s “figuli” (master potters).

After lunh, your guide will meet you at the restaurant to depart for Ostuni (around 30 minutes drive).

Ostuni appears as a mirage, a shine pearl, standing splendidly on a hillside rising from a green plateau that's covered with olive trees and that eventually dives into the blue of the Adriatic Sea. Take a stroll down the narrow streets and admire the beautiful courtyards and piazzas crowned with small white houses, artisans workshops, excellent restaurants and stylish bars.

Sea coves & pristine sea

After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the lobby to depart for an half day boat experience.
Dive into transparent waters near the archeological sites, and swim in pristine seas. Our expert skippers lead you to a voyage of discovery among secluded sea coves, creeks and enchanting sea caves, before reaching the majestic cliffs of Polignano a Mare.

Where Puglia meets Basilicata

After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the lobby to depart for Altamura ( around 1 hour drive).

The “Lioness of Puglia” amaze and delight with its historic centre rich in art and culture, and the distinctive flavour of its DOP bread of Altamura (the same mentioned by the latin poetry Orazio in his Satire on 37 B. C.).
The city of Altamura is a perfect complement to Matera. Both in the Murgia, they are in symbiosis with the two layers of rock of which the plateau is made. If Matera is excavated inside the soft calcarenite, Altamura was built over the hard calcar.
Explore the Old Town, held inside its inner walls and articulated in claustri, enclosed courtyards corresponding the vicinati of the Sassi. Stroll in extremely narrow alleys and short passages hidden between the buildings, a creative solution find from inhabitants for the demographic growth problem.
Taste the local sweet specialty: the so-called tette delle monache (literally the tits of the nuns), especially the ones prepared by the real nuns in the convent of Santa Chiara, in the heart of the Old Town. Try them with a glass of the local nocino (walnut liqueur), the Padre Peppe.
After lunch you guide will meet you at the restaurant to depart for Gravina in Puglia (around 20 minutes drive) defines the "city of the rock-cut churches’’. The town centre of Gravina in Puglia has a hidden part: under the inhabited area, there is a well-kept underground world, with tunnels, cellars, stone churches, granaries, seventeenth century ovens. Cross the characteristic bridge-aqueduct of the seventeenth century, which seems almost one with the rocks and discover an equally evocative and fascinating Gravina where time, almost as if by magic, has stopped.
